This month of July, we are considering the health of our heart. 

Keeping our heart actively pursuing hope with the same relentlessness as life’s tumults takes dedication and focus. What happens when our life and our dreams get trampled on? Does God allow bad things to happen? Is He heartless or distant? How else can we understand His love?

Proverbs 13:12 says that hope deferred makes the heart sick but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. How do we keep our heart from becoming sick in life’s hopeless situations?

Biblical hope is the guaranteed possibility of what will be. We can't see it's probability in the natural but it's possibility is placed in our heart because God places it there. Ezekiel 36:26 says God puts a new heart and a new spirit in us. If we have received that, we can live with assurance of a new life!
