Turn Moments Towards Something Prosperous

To live, to enjoy moments, to embrace people, to sing and be joyful, to find enjoyment in what we do… these are all gifts from God.

Whatever is happening in life, find the joy and celebrate it.

If I'm feeling crushed, I need to find moments of purity, of peace and contentment. If I'm finding life hard to understand I must stop myself from accusing God. My life may not feel stable but His faithfulness is.

If I truly want to, I can do what I can to turn each moment toward something good that can last in eternity.

If I truly want to, my soul can be fruitful even if my circumstances feel lacking. When my soul is fruitful, my circumstances will eventually follow.

I can recognise my limitations and be thankful that God doesn’t have limitations - I remember that in Him I live and move and have my being (Acts 17:28). I can recognise other people’s limitations for what they are without blaming God.

God invites me to enjoy, and make the most of, the life He's given me. When I walk through tough times I can thank God for being there. I can turn toward Him instead of turning away. I can reach out and receive His help. I can trust in the power of God in each situation to turn things for my good (Romans 8:28). I can remember everything has its season (Ecclesiastes 3).

Using each day for good brings glory to God, strengthens my heart, and broadens my understanding.

Ecclesiastes 3:11-14 (NASB 1995)

He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end. I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good in one’s lifetime; moreover, that every man who eats and drinks sees good in all his labour—it is the gift of God. I know that everything God does will remain forever; there is nothing to add to it and there is nothing to take from it, for God has so worked that men should fear Him.

I pray that today you will be able to turn your moments towards something prosperous and trust in God’s everlasting goodness.
