Use Scripture for Direction
2 Timothy 3:16 (BSB)
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness
Solid answers for living through any situation in life can be found in the Bible. It is an ancient text, passed down through centuries, yet it is relevant in every generation. In certain periods of history, rulers have tried to confiscate the bible but it always survives. Why? Because it is the Word of God.
The Word is Jesus Christ in written form and can never be eradicated, can never be pushed out of our lives because He is the Author of life. It is foolishness, pride and arrogance to attempt to usurp God’s place. Instead of fighting His place in life, it is better to find our place in Him. His Word brings illumination for life, direction, power, and comfort. Use scripture for direction.
2 Timothy 2:22-23 (NLV)
Turn away from the sinful things young people want to do. Go after what is right. Have a desire for faith and love and peace. Do this with those who pray to God from a clean heart. Let me say it again. Have nothing to do with foolish talk and those who want to argue. It can only lead to trouble.
We don’t have to prove anything. We don’t have to justify our faith. But we need to know why it’s good for us. It’s like food or medicine. It’s like drinking in health. Reading it daily, studying it and taking it into our hearts sets us up for a profitable life.
In any type of situation, the bible assures us that we will never be without. Without what? Anything we need. Above all, we need God. When we look to Him first for our nourishment and truth, and afterwards we look for our answers in life, we will find the right thing.
Matthew 6:19-23 (NLT)
“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. “Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light. But when your eye is unhealthy, your whole body is filled with darkness.
Matthew 6:32-32 (NLT)
your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
The bible will mark your life with wisdom.
James 1:5 (BSB)
Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
I pray you find all you need in the inspired words of God today. I pray His Word will mark every day of your life for good and that you will find your way through His Word.
