Just As He Says

People are proud. So proud that we believe God has no say in this world because we don’t give Him the right. But scripture declares that thinking only shows the true nature of the heart.

Our refusal to believe does not stop what He has set in place from the beginning of the world. Everything was set in place before we came to be. Everything was set in place even before creation itself. God knows all things and things will continue to happen just as He says, whether we believe or not, whether we follow or not.

Luke 2:34-35 (NLT)

Then Simeon blessed them, and he said to Mary, the baby’s mother, “This child is destined to cause many in Israel to fall, and many others to rise. He has been sent as a sign from God, but many will oppose him. As a result, the deepest thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your very soul.”

Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace but His very being causes people to take offense. That’s not His problem. That’s ours.

If only we could truly recognise who He is. If only we could truly recognise He comes to save. If only we could truly recognise His Word is truth, life, light of the world.

Isaiah 9:6 (AMPC)

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace.

The first time Jesus came to the world, He came in meekness and humility. He grew on earth from a baby in the poorest environment, into a man to die a sinner’s death that was due to you and me. He then took His place as judge on the throne in Heaven in greatest majesty, next to His Father. Our Father.

The second time He comes, He will come with the power that shook the heavens and created the earth and all the galaxies. He is coming to judge because the truth of who He is will have been revealed to all people. He will come to save and He will come to destroy. Just as He says.

1 Peter 4:5-8 (NIV)

But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to human standards in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit. The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

Every heart will be revealed. It’s time to choose. Jesus is coming again soon.

John 3:16 (NLT)

“For this is how God loved the world: [God loved the world so much that] He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
