Do You Love
The Name of Jesus?
Jesus was prophesied about centuries before he came as Messiah (Daniel 7). He came first as a Saviour for the world (1 John 1:7), proclaiming that He was indeed the Messiah who was prophesied about, and that He would come a second time to judge the world (Matthew 26).
We know Him as the Word of God (Hebrews 4:12), Creator God (Genesis 1). He is the truth (John 14:6). He knows all (1 John 3:20), He sees all (Proverbs 5:21), He is above all (John 3:31, Ephesians 1:20-21). The earth and everyone in it belong to Him (Psalm 24:1). All authority has been given to Him by the Father (Matthew 28:18) and He has given us, His disciples His own authority (Mark 16:17-18, Luke 10:19, John 14:12). Demons are subject to His Name (Luke 10:17). He sent His Holy Spirit to be our advocate (John 14:26) and seal until the day He returns (Ephesians 4:30).
Therefore, as believers we can say:
I walk in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I can rely on the fellowship of the Holy Spirit to reveal Christ to me and help me to see what I would otherwise not see, to discern what I would otherwise not discern, have wisdom and victory over what I would otherwise not have.
Do you live in this reality?
His joy is my strength (Nehemiah 8:10). He gives me peace that passes understanding (Philippians 4:7) and quiet confidence (Isaiah 30:15). He is my good Shepherd (John 10:11). He is the King of Glory and King of Kings (Psalm 24; Revelation 17:14).
Zechariah 4:6 (NET)
‘Not by strength and not by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
One day every person will acknowledge Him as LORD.
Philippians 2:10-11 (NKJV)
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
It will be a great and terrible day (Joel 2:31). His glory, His power, His majesty will be revealed and seen by all on that day (Revelation 1:7). On that day, every person will be filled with fear or awe, and wish they would have done more to seek Him, to worship Him, to serve Him, to Honour Him and to live for Him now.
Do you love the Name of Jesus?
Let each day be a day that you love the Name of Jesus with all of your heart, your soul and your strength (Matthew 22, Mark 12).
Deuteronomy 6:4-7 (NKJV)
The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
Revelation 22:7 (NIV)
“Look, I am coming soon!Â
