God’s Faithfulness

Has God ever promised you anything? Has He ever instructed you?

The promises and instructions in the bible are for you and me.

In Exodus 16 God promises His people in the desert that He will be their Provider and He instructs them how to receive it. They become like birds that He feeds by hand, such was His care for them. Such is His care for you and me.

Exodus 16:6-7

“In the evening you will know that it was the LORD who brought you out of Egypt, and in the morning you will see the glory of the LORD, because He has heard your grumbling against Him.

God reassured His people by giving them food in the morning to collect and meat in the evening. This was a reminder to them that He was the One who had delivered them from their slavery in Egypt, and He was always with them, always thinking of them, always providing for them daily as they got up. He showed them His glory in the morning in a cloud.

We also need to be reminded each morning of His glory and His faithfulness to us. We need to get up and seek Him. In the evening, He reminds us again that He is our Provider and Strength as we eat our evening meal.

God has created you and me and He has consecrated Himself to you and me every day, forever! Are you consecrating yourself to Him every day? Do you have forever in mind as you remember Him?

As you feed your body, remember to feed your spirit and your heart, fuelling the knowledge of Him in your mind, of His goodness towards you. God’s faithfulness endures for you and for me, today, and tomorrow, and every day after that.

Psalm 119:90 (NLT)

Your faithfulness extends to every generation, as enduring as the earth you created.

Isaiah 45:5 (NASB)

“I will go before you and make the rough places smooth; I will shatter the doors of bronze and cut through their iron bars. “I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden wealth of secret places, so that you may know that it is I, The Lord, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name. “For the sake of Jacob My servant, and Israel My chosen one, I have also called you by your name; I have given you a title of honour though you have not known Me. “I am the Lord, and there is no other; besides Me there is no God. I will gird you, though you have not known Me; that men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun that there is no one besides Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other

Do you receive God's faithfulness this morning? Spend a few moments, thanking Him that He walks alongside you, always thinking of you, always providing for you. Spend a few moments sitting in His Presence, and receive His glory again today. Consecrate your day to Him, and know that He is your Lord.
