Take Your Ground

Our life is full of purpose and privilege when we have recognised that it is in God’s hands.

Psalm 37:23 (ESV)

The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way;

In a very personal way, God watches over His people and fixes us in place, sets us on the path He has established for us. He delights in looking out for us, removing obstacles, and making us secure. He puts boundaries in place and hedges us.

From one human being he created all races of people and made them live throughout the whole earth. He himself fixed beforehand the exact times and the limits of the places where they would live.

When we delight in God and follow His ways, He will lead us and position us where He has a plan for us.

Joshua 1:3 (NLT)

I promise you what I promised Moses: ‘Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you.

We must walk assured. Knowing God has positioned us where we are, we can walk ahead with confidence and clarity, unapologetically, to take the ground He has chosen for us to take.

Numbers 33:53 (GWT)

Take possession of the land and live there, because I will give it to you for your own.

It is for a reason we walk where we walk, talk with who we talk with, face the challenges we face. Through it all, God says walk carefully, look to Him, choose what is right, and He will make your way secure.

Carefully walk a straight path, and all your ways will be secure.

We can place our confidence in the Lord, the God who created us and set us in our place. We walk in His company. We walk under His power, His grace, and His authority.

Isaiah 45:2 (NLV)

I will go before you and make the hard places smooth. I will break the brass doors to pieces, and cut through their iron gates.

God expects you to take your ground.

Wherever you walk, as you look to Him and trust in Him, following His precepts and commands written in His Word, He acknowledges you and directs you and sets you in the right place.

Pray at all times that He will lead you in this way, and He will bless your path.
