My Dependency

I love that I am dependent on the Creator of all things. He gives me my breath. He directs each day I live. He loves me and casts His mercy and blessings to me. I don’t even realise how much His thoughts are turned towards me. He never takes His gaze from my household and He upholds us because we love Him and choose to acknowledge Him in all of our ways. My dependency in life rests entirely on His goodness, and I’m glad. My heart knows its Maker.

Psalm 104:14-16 (NLT), 28-30 (NIV)

14 You cause grass to grow for the livestock and plants for people to use. You allow them to produce food from the earth—15 wine to make them glad, olive oil to soothe their skin, and bread to give them strength. 16 The trees of the Lord are well cared for— the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.

27 All creatures look to you to give them their food at the proper time. 28 When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things. 29 When you hide your face, they are terrified; when you take away their breath, they die and return to the dust. 30 When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.
