There is One Who Cares

Even if yesterday sucked you dry of everything you had to give, today is a new day.

Forget about the lack you felt; the friendship toward others who were nice one day and criticising you the next, your strength that evaporated by your task list that remains too long, the cushion of care you need to offer others that never gets returned. Your Heavenly Father loves you and never tires.

Your Heavenly Father is waiting to give you that friendship, to strengthen and enable you, to give you the cushion of care first so that you can keep giving to others who can’t return your acts of kindness or refill your cup.

Matthew 6:25-30 (NIV)

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 

We can’t get a glass of water without turning on the tap. There is One who cares and He never leaves us. Draw near to Him to be refilled.

Friendship with God is reserved for those who reverence him. With them alone he shares the secrets of his promises. My eyes are ever looking to the Lord for help, for he alone can rescue me. Come, Lord, and show me your mercy, for I am helpless, overwhelmed, in deep distress;

Seek Him and walk in the power of His Presence. Know that He guides each moment, each conversation, each task, each prospect and has gone ahead to forge the way.
