Bless and Do Not Curse

Romans 12:9-16 (NIV)

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another.

Connect with others from the heart. Live through the joys and the trials of life, connected in each, not holding back good, but letting wellness be a pool from within that flows outward.

Psalm 133 (NLT)

How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers [and sisters; God’s people] live together in harmony! For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron’s head, that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe. Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon that falls on the mountains of Zion. And there the Lord has pronounced his blessing, even life everlasting.

May the harmony in our relationships command the Lord’s blessing around us. May the wellness of right relationship and goodness for each other, of righteousness and justice, bring peace.
