Milestones

Zephaniah 3:17 (CEV)

The LORD your God wins victory after victory and is always with you. He celebrates and sings because of you, and he will refresh your life with his love."

God takes delight when we achieve milestones; when we’re running a good race and we’re keeping our eyes on Him; keeping our heart set, our mind resolved to live in alignment with Him.

Even when we’re trying to run well but we’re weary, that’s a milestone. God is still celebrating and singing over us, refreshing our life with His love.

Celebrate the milestones, big and little. Being diligent when no one is looking. Being amicable when someone is provoking you. Speaking up when you know it’s the right thing – or holding your tongue when you’d rather lash out. A hard-fought legal battle. Overcoming a fear. A new qualification. A job offer, a child’s accomplishment, a compliment, a birthday, a new house.

God delights over our life as we gain ground, as we listen to His voice and follow His directions, as we encourage others or don’t allow ourselves to become discouraged, as we continue to trust Him through adversity, disappointments, fears or big decisions.

As we say ‘yes’ to Him, the Lord wins victory after victory.

I pray that today, you will be aware of a milestone you can celebrate with God.
