Meditating on God’s Word
Sometimes, we wake up and we’re not rested, or we don’t feel at peace. On those mornings, more than any, meditating on God's Word equips us for the day.
Come to the Lord, hold out your cup and ask Him to fill it.
Psalm 145:18 (ESV)
The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
Psalm 51:10-12 (NIV)
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
Psalm 68:4 (NASB)
Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Exalt Him who rides through the deserts, whose name is the LORD, and be jubilant before Him.
Psalm 96:2 (NIV)
Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.
Put yourself and your household in the bible passages you read.
Deuteronomy 33:11 (NCV)
Lord, make them [us] strong; be pleased with the work they [we] do. Defeat those who attack them [us], and don’t let their [our] enemies rise up again.”
Psalm 24:8 (NLT)
Who is the King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty; the Lord, invincible in battle.
Put on the full armour of God (Ephesians 6:14-18) and get ready for the day, thanking God for His sovereignty and faithfulness.
Ephesians 6:13 (TLB)
So use every piece of God’s armour to resist the enemy whenever he attacks, and when it is all over, you will still be standing up.
Ephesians 6:10 (GWT)
Finally, receive your power from the Lord and from his mighty strength.
I pray, dress us in your strength, your truth, and your peace today, Lord, knowing you go before us and behind us. You shield and protect us on every side. You govern us and uphold us so that we don't strike our feet against any stone; we won't stumble or fall. Direct our hearts and our tongues and be gracious to us, as we extend grace to those around us. In the name of Jesus, we pray these things. Amen.
