Invite the Holy Spirit
God gives you opportunities. Moments in time to recognise something significant. Conversations to play a significant part in. People to breathe life into. What are your choices today? What would the Lord say to you?
You don’t know who you’ll meet unexpectedly. How will you prepare yourself for the inevitable activity, the unintended tasks, the known or unknown people who will come across your path?
Draw now into the presence of God and be quiet. Listen in stillness until you hear Him speak. He knows your thoughts and speaks to you quietly. Invite the Holy Spirit. Wait on Him.
Proverbs 20:24 (NKJV)
A man’s steps are of the LORD; How then can a man understand his own way?
James 1:5—6 (NCV)
But if any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He is generous to everyone and will give you wisdom without criticizing you. But when you ask God, you must believe and not doubt. Anyone who doubts is like a wave in the sea, blown up and down by the wind.
Psalm 145:15-18 (NLT)
The eyes of all look to you in hope; you give them their food as they need it. When you open your hand, you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness. The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.
Proverbs 16:9 (ESV)
The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.
Jeremiah 33:3 (NASB)
Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
Isaiah 30:21 (ESV)
And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.
