Invite the Holy Spirit

God gives us opportunities. Moments in time to recognise something significant. Conversations to play a significant part in. People to breathe life into. What are our choices today? What would the Lord say to us?

Proverbs 16:9 (ESV)

The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.

We don’t know who we’ll meet unexpectedly. How will we prepare ourselves for the inevitable activity, the unintended tasks, the known or unknown people who will come across our path?

Isaiah 30:21 (ESV)

And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.

Draw into the presence of God and be still. Listen in quietness and wait for Him to speak. He knows our thoughts and speaks quietly.

Jeremiah 33:3 (NASB)

Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

Invite the Holy Spirit to speak.

Proverbs 20:24 (NKJV)

A man’s steps are of the LORD; How then can a man understand his own way?

James 1:5—6 (NCV)

But if any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He is generous to everyone and will give you wisdom without criticizing you. But when you ask God, you must believe and not doubt. Anyone who doubts is like a wave in the sea, blown up and down by the wind.

Psalm 145:15-18 (NLT)

The eyes of all look to you in hope; you give them their food as they need it. When you open your hand, you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness. The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.
