The Lord Always
Goes Before You
You can’t see Him, but you know Him.
John 14:17 (NASB)
the Helper is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him; but you know Him because He remains with you and will be in you.
We never have to doubt the Lord God’s presence, just because we don’t see Him with our eyes.
Exodus 13:21-22 (NLV)
The Lord went before them, in a pillar of cloud during the day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire during the night to give them light. So they could travel day and night. The pillar of cloud during the day and the pillar of fire during the night did not leave the people.
The Lord always goes before us, day and night, still. We know Him and see Him with our spirit. That is more real to us than eyesight, that can dim over time. To keep our spiritual light glowing and to sharpen our insight and understanding, we make a habit of studying the Word of God.
John 14:20 (NLT)
When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.
He has been raised to life and we know Him. We know He is alive in us so that we can be alive in Him. As we love Him and live for Him, each day can be rewarding. He is in the way we worship Him, in the things we do, and the conversations we have. We worship Him in all our ways.
Psalm 121:3-8 (NLV)
He will not let your feet go out from under you. He who watches over you will not sleep. Listen, He who watches over Israel will not close his eyes or sleep. The Lord watches over you. The Lord is your safe cover at your right hand. The sun will not hurt you during the day and the moon will not hurt you during the night. The Lord will keep you from all that is sinful. He will watch over your soul. The Lord will watch over your coming and going, now and forever.
Jeremiah 20:11 (BSB)
But the LORD is with me like a fearsome warrior. Therefore, my persecutors will stumble and will not prevail. Since they have not succeeded, they will be utterly put to shame, with an everlasting disgrace that will never be forgotten.
(NLT)
But the LORD stands beside me like a great warrior….
Whatever we face, the Lord stands beside us like a fearsome warrior, who dismantles our spiritual enemies and takes command over us.
Nothing can prevail against you because the Lord is with you. Take joy today in the God you serve and He will help you in every way. Take a few moments to thank Him, and listen to Him.
