His Yes and Our Amen

We can wholeheartedly, with thankfulness say, 'amen', when we read the promises of God.

Jesus says yes to all of God’s many promises. It is through Jesus that we say, “Let it be so,” when we give thanks to God.

'Let it be so', is the literal translation from Hebrew and Greek to the word, 'amen'.

Certainly, Christ made God’s many promises come true. For that reason, because of our message, people also honour God by saying, “Amen!”

Jesus has fulfilled God's promises, so through Jesus, we agree in faith.

When we come into agreement with two or three other followers, we need to know it will honour God. In doing so, we are giving thanks to Him who has already worked out His promises for us. When we say, 'amen', we are saying, 'let it be so'.

Jesus replied, “Have faith in God [constantly]. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ and does not doubt in his heart [in God’s unlimited power], but believes that what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him [in accordance with God’s will]. For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you.

We may not be believing for a literal mountain to be picked up and thrown into the sea but we are believing for mountains in our lives to be removed and God’s will to be established. It's not our will, and it's not our power. It is through Jesus Christ that the will of God be established through His 'yes' and our 'amen'.

“I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven. “I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”

If two or three followers gather together. If two or three followers come together in agreement. Whatever you forbid and whatever you permit. There is so much authority that we are being given. There's movement in heaven and on earth, through our agreement with God's promises. God has established power and truth to His promises through Jesus Christ's 'yes' and our, 'amen'.

Lord, thank you for the power and authority that you've given us through Jesus Christ. Help us to remain faithful to your word, and believe in your many promises to us, that we can move in greater power in our lives, because of you.
