Serve Well
If you are being used well and your work is flourishing, keep going. Keep doing what you’re doing. If you are being recognised for your good work, be joyful and carry on.
Take care to remain when you need to remain and move on at the right place and the right time as God leads.
1 Timothy 3:13 (NIV)
Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus.
Not all promotional offers or moves for something bigger or greater are right. Favour falls and brings great impact when you’re in a God-appointed place at a God-appointed time, connecting with the people God intends for you to connect with, and accomplishing what God intends for you to accomplish. There is a place of rest in that. Know when God is moving you, rather than people or self-desires, which leads to striving.
Seek God before making any decisions, before you know whether making a move is the right move to make and will take you forward. Then you can believe that everything you’re needing will line up correctly and you will be in the position to serve where God wants you. Trust God and don’t be anxious about anything.
Ephesians 6:18 (NLV)
You must pray at all times as the Holy Spirit leads you to pray. Pray for the things that are needed. You must watch and keep on praying. Remember to pray for all Christians.
God’s favour doesn’t go off like a bad apple. It remains. When we seek Him and we trust Him for our choices and actions, we can rest in His goodness for us.
1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
Don't stress or strive to get into God's will. Don't compete or compare yourself to others because you're afraid you won't be used. Serve where your heart leads you to serve, not for attention or recognition, but out of service to God, and God will reward you.
Matthew 25:40 (NCV)
“Then the King will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, anything you did for even the least of my people here, you also did for me.’
Serve well, in the area of your gifts, and they will usher you in to rooms and in front of people the LORD has chosen for you.
Proverbs 18:16 (NET)
A person’s gift makes room for him, and leads him before important people.
