Serve Well

Keep doing what you’re doing. If you are being used well and your work is flourishing, keep going. If you are being recognised for your good work, be joyful and carry on.

But take care to remain when you need to remain and move on at the right place and the right time.

1 Timothy 3:13 (NIV)

Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus.

Not all promotional offers or moves for something bigger or greater are right. Favour falls and brings great impact when you’re in a God-appointed place at a God-appointed time, connecting with the people God intends for you to connect with, and accomplishing what God intends for you to accomplish. There is a place of rest in that. Know when God is moving you rather than people or self-desires, which brings striving.

Seek God before making any decisions and believe that everything you’re needing will line up correctly before a move forward is the right move to make. Especially when you have been praying about it, seeking God for your future, wait for the right move forward. Trust God and don’t be anxious about anything.

Ephesians 6:18 (NLV)

You must pray at all times as the Holy Spirit leads you to pray. Pray for the things that are needed. You must watch and keep on praying. Remember to pray for all Christians.

Pray for those in authority over you that they will seek your best, and that favour will continue to surround you and make the way for you.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NLT)

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.

God’s favour doesn’t go off like a bad apple. It remains. When we seek Him and we trust Him for our choices and actions, we can rest in His goodness for us.

1 John 3:19-22 (NIV)

This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence:  If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.
