You Have an Anointing

When we receive Christ as Saviour, we receive His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, who now lives inside our spirit.

The earth is filled with the glory of God (Isaiah 6:3).

When we recognise The Lord and don’t deny Him, how can we not be filled with His glory?

1 John 2:20 (NIV)

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.

When we receive Him, our spirit recognises the Spirit of God. How incredible that is. And now He holds our spirit, and we grow into His likeness by following His Word because we know the truth. We have an anointing that we need to walk in.

John 6:69 (NLT)

We believe, and we know you are the Holy One of God.

When we seek Him, He shows Himself to us and shows us the things we need to know and how we are to walk.

1 Corinthians 2:10 (NLV)

God has shown these things to us through His Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit Who looks into all things, even the secrets of God, and shows them to us.

Each day, we should live in a way that substantiates the confession of our faith, and receive His anointing afresh.

When we have God's anointing we walk in it every day, believing the power of God is in us, the hope of Christ, and the revelation of the Holy Spirit, to live out our day in practical and heartfelt application.

Be sure you continue to follow the teaching you heard from the beginning. If you continue to follow what you heard from the beginning, you will stay in the Son and in the Father.

I have an anointing that stays in me as I follow His teaching

The Holy Spirit is our anointing, who the Father has given to us to produce in us what they want to complete in us.

You know that God anointed Jesus from Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Jesus went everywhere and did good things, such as healing everyone who was under the devil’s power. Jesus did these things because God was with him.

You have an anointing that stays in you as you follow His teaching

It infuses all of your interactions, all of your speech, all of your thoughts and all of your motivations. The anointing of the Holy Spirit benefits every life around you.

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus

God is faithful to and jealous of His anointing that only comes through the Holy Spirit.

Do you walk intentionally and knowledgably into every day with the same mindset as Christ Jesus, that invites the anointing of the Holy Spirit?

Thank you God, that you've given us so much. Help us to be knowledgeable and believing so that we may live out your divine purpose every single day, and be able to see your power at work through us, knowing it is through your providence and the seal of the Holy Spirit.
