Edged With Gold
All that we go through will be edged with gold. All that we’ve lost will be given back with more. All that we endure patiently, will blossom in the day despite the limitations of the night. Despite knock-backs, we continually rally with joyful hope and anticipation in what God can achieve. Even through small things.
We don’t have to see. We have to abide.
Hope in God is underestimated. Hope in God is the catalyst to prevailing strength.
1 Thessalonians 1:3 (NIV)
We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labour prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Everything we do will be edged with gold as we consistently work each day by faith, as our labour flows from His rivers of love, and as our endurance, through life’s disappointments, is inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. He is all in us. Our trust in Him nurtures our heart and destroys every element of disquiet.
Job 23:10 (AMPC)
But He knows the way that I take [He has concern for it, appreciates, and pays attention to it]. When He has tried me, I shall come forth as refined gold [pure and luminous].
When we are downcast, we fix our attention on His Word. When we are desperate, we cling to the knowledge of His character. When we are unsure, we lock ourselves into His hope. In all things, we move forward in Him with assurance; not cowering in any moment, not being hesitant before any person or any task or assignment. We know that He is completing what He has set out to do in our lives because we look to Him.
Colossians 3:12 (NIV)
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
This is how we become edged with gold.
