To Do Lists and Roundtuits


Do you have a To Do List? Or a roundtuit?


Which one do you think God would desire for us?


To Do Lists can help us achieve things quickly and continually. They can give us a greater sense of purpose and allow us to live with a good sense of flow and progress.


If we don’t do what we need to do in a timely manner we carry a roudtuit mentality. If we have a "I'll get around to it" mentality, why do we expect God to do things in our time frame, and immeasurably more?


Ephesians 3:20 (NIV)

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,


Thing about whether we're giving God complete access to work within us if we put things off, or dismiss their importance?


Think of the things you’ve been putting off. If we build a habit of procrastination we will build a life of disappointment. Build a habit of achieving by paying attention to what needs to be done. Take care of life by being attentive to it.


Let’s look at what the bible says about habits.


Proverbs 16:3 (BSB)

Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be achieved.


Proverbs 13:4 (BSB)

The slacker craves yet has nothing, but the soul of the diligent is fully satisfied.


Colossians 3:23 (ESV)

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men…


Are you remembering others’ needs in your plans?


Philippians 2:3 (ESV)

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.


Proverbs 15:22 (CSB)

Plans fail when there is no counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.


We need to reach out to others when we need a little help or encouragement. We also need to keep God near and reach out to Him at every turn, every thought, every moment.


James 1:5 (NLT)

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.
