
The first rose of spring in my garden always reassures me about faith. Wait, watch expectantly, and your promises from God do come. Nature proclaims His faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-24 (NIV)
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”
My life, your life, is not forgotten by the same God who created nature to come alive again after the damp, coldness of winter. Keep watching for your roses to bloom. Keep tending what you have been given, with courage and thanksgiving. In due season, because you have made the Lord your portion, because you have not grown weary and stalled, you will reap from what you have sown.
Galatians 6:9 (AMPC)
And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.
