We are created in God’s image. We carry His DNA. Love is God’s blueprint inside of humanity.
People are created to love, even if they’ve never learned to love or been exposed to it. There’s a part of every person that just automatically desires to give and receive love. There’s a part of every person that has a bent on being loyal and nurturing to those they love, even if it can get mangled up with selfishness. Deep down underneath everything, everybody has the compulsion to manifest selfless love.
Sadly, we can’t do it well in our own humanity. We can’t do it without our own brokenness getting in the way. Our humanity is what mangles the selflessness of pure love and sacrifices it to our selfishness.
I married a man in my early thirties. We tried to have children but couldn’t. We loved each other, and were good for each other in many ways. And yet, we both brought our brokenness into the marriage and eventually, that unrepaired brokenness became bigger than the sum of us. I remember saying to him, “I just don’t think love is enough!”
If love isn’t enough, I don’t know what is. Experiences in my marriage led me to believe that, but I can see how it was the lack of love that drove me apart from my husband not the deficiency of it.
I learned a theory in my degree. Thoughts are based on attitudes and attitudes are based on beliefs and beliefs are based on values. No wonder the bible teaches us to guard our hearts and our minds.
Proverbs 4:23 “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” (NLT)
Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.” (ESV)
Philippians 4:7 even tells us that as we bring our concerns before God He, Himself, will guard our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus.
The bible says God IS love. (“He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” 1 John 4:8.) And because God created us in His own image, I believe we literally carry His blueprint; His DNA. Nobody else can fill or fulfil that pattern in our lives. Only He can because it was custom fit by Him before the world was created.
I spent years leaning on my own understanding and it got me into a lot of trouble. My hope is only found in God’s wisdom, knowledge and protection that the bible teaches. The word of God really is a lamp to my feet and light to my path (Psalm 119:105). “I have suffered much; preserve my life, Lord, according to your word.” (Psalm 119:107. NIV)
I’ve recently seen footage of scientific boasts that people can now be ‘hacked’ – or, genetically engineered. Yes. You heard me right.
Below are quotes from Top Advisor to Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum, Dr Yuval Noah Harari regarding the Great Reset - a response to the global coronavirus crisis; quotes are taken from a video by Discover Ministries and Pastor Steve Cioccolanti during his series on the Theology of War and Justice.
Dr Harari was addressing the World Economic Forum, and said, “data might enable human elites to do something even more radical than just build digital dictatorships. By hacking organisms, elites may gain the power to re-engineer the future of life itself.” He continued, “once you can hack something you can usually also engineer it. Now, in the past, many tyrants and governments wanted to do it but nobody understood biology well enough and nobody had enough computing power and data to hack millions of people. Neither the Gestapo nor the KGB could do it. But soon, at least some corporations and governments will be able to systematically hack….” (Is this sounding chilling to you? )"... if indeed, we succeed in hacking and re-engineering life, this will be, not just the greatest revolution in the history of humanity, this will be the greatest revolution in biology since the very beginning of life…. Science is replacing evolution by natural selection with evolution by intelligent design. Not the intelligent design of some God above the clouds but our intelligent design and the intelligent design of our clouds – the IBM cloud, the Microsoft cloud, these are the new driving forces of evolution.”
In an interview in this same link, Dr Harari says, “today we have the technology to hack human beings on a massive scale and in this time of crisis you have to follow science…. Humans are now hackable animals. You know the whole idea that humans have this soul or spirit and they have free will and nobody knows what’s happening inside me so whatever I choose, whether in the election or whether in the supermarket this is my free will – that’s over.”
Again, in another interview, this link hears him say the following. “People could look back and they could identify the corona virus epidemic as the moment when a new regime of surveillance took over….”
By definition that means control is ripe for those doing the engineering (the so-called elites of the modernistic ‘clouds’ of evolution he referred to in his address to the World Economic Forum); these elites, these people who are in control of the global economy and things like the oil crisis and inflation, are saying humanity will be better off being re-engineered to be conformists to a global way of thinking. Hmmm. The bible also prophecies this attempt to rule in the last days of life as we know it here on this earth. (Revelation 13:17)
Aside from that concept being chillingly disturbing and arrogant beyond extreme, the “God in the clouds” that Dr Harari mocked, will never allow people to succeed in their plans to become like God. He hasn’t in the past. He has confused language in the past; He’s sent a flood; His wrath over mankind’s arrogance and rejection is spoken about extensively in scripture and prophesied about in terms of the end of this age. God will never allow Himself to be usurped. Or mocked. (Galatians 6:7. Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. NIV)
Aside from biblical prophecy, if these biological scientists pursue their dream to genetically engineer and master a control over the rest of humanity by hacking our biology, they would always be missing the most primal, elemental, necessary part of humanity.
The blueprint of God’s image is inside us. The blueprint of love itself! God’s own handprint cannot be genetically engineered.
Clearly, that’s what world leaders are seeking to do. They don’t want to be convicted of a God that is in control. They want to be God themselves. But not only that, they themselves want to be God over the human race. Isn’t that just like Satan? Those puppets may or may not know it, but they’re being controlled by a darkness that is feeding them the lies they choose to believe.
That is Satan’s great desire for his own race – humanity without the imprint of God’s love. If this world, while carrying the imprint of God’s love, rejects His love and pursues the destruction we see all around us, I’d hate to see a human race without that imprint. That sounds like hell to me.
Fortunately, Satan can never be God; he can only mimic what he has seen. He’s no original. He’s no creator. He was a created being that became rotten within. He can never ordain what God has sovereign control over. God alone is the world's inheritance.
Mankind cannot destine what God has already predestined, just because they want it to be so.
The bible says God foreknew us before anything else existed (Ephesians 1:4). He created the world and everything in it (Acts 17:24). God’s word assures us that the whole of creation belongs to Him (Colossians 1:16); that the earth is His footstool (Isaiah 66:1). It proclaims He has called and chosen us for His own (1 Peter 2:9); that every single person will give account for every word they've spoken (Matthew 12:36) and be judged according to whether they’ve received or rejected the truth (Romans 2:6; 14:12); that heaven and earth will pass away (Matthew 24:35-37) and, for those who receive Him, He is bringing a new heaven and a new earth, where Jesus Christ will rule and reign and there will be no more pain or suffering, sickness or death (Revelation 21:1-5). That’s predestination! That’s love!
You and I were predestined to live according to God’s design – who gives us our life and our breath (Acts 17:25); who is the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). We were predestined to love and be loved by the Creator in a way that no other person can give. Nobody can change or replicate that.
Nobody else will satisfy or fulfil us completely.
Nobody else will complete us.
And nobody else has the right to have sovereign control over our bodies, minds, or hearts.
Only God.
