Do We Welcome The Sun?

We see a representation of God’s glory when we see a sunrise.

The first glow of colours splash the sky before the light of the sun begins to peak. The sun’s light heralds its appearance before the sun itself crests the horizon. The sun itself is so bright we can’t actually see it if we stare at it. But it captures the sky and its illumination is full of radiance, colour, and vibrant beauty. It’s breathtaking, every day.

Do we welcome the sun?

Mark 8:36-38 (NLT)

And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? If anyone is ashamed of me and my message in these adulterous and sinful days, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

Living in the days where the light of Christ has peaked over the horizon, and the colours splash across the sky, do our souls recognise His glory? When Jesus returns our souls need to be ready, waiting, expectant, repentant, free of offense, free of malice, free of anger, bitterness, hatred, murder, slander, judgment, criticism, vulgarity, immorality, and impurity.

John 14:6 (NIV)

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

People have a problem with this passage. Why? Only because it doesn’t suit them. If you’re ok with knowing who Jesus is, and you accept who He is, there isn’t a crisis of identity. There’s an embracing of identity.

As we find our identity in Jesus, we allow all the things of this world that consume our souls to fall away. He is light to our spirit, salvation to our soul and health to our mind and body.

Hebrews 12:14 (CEV)

Try to live at peace with everyone! Live a clean life. If you don't, you will never see the Lord.
