I Do Not Run Aimlessly

I do not run like someone running aimlessly. God chose for me to be right here at this moment, today. He knows the thoughts and feelings that I’m having. He knows how He can help me. He is full of love and affection towards me. He is a father to the fatherless, a defender of the abandoned, a comforter to the lonely, a saviour to the prisoner. Read Psalm 68.

As He refreshes me, He also equips me to live and function in a way that no one else is placed to do. I have been placed in a lane to run in a race that no one else can run.

Love is the reason we have a destiny of hope.

Romans 5:5 (NLT)

And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

God is a God who refreshes. Who sets us in our place. He despises those who despise others. He makes the rough places smooth. He is the reason for endurance. All good things come from His love.

God wants to love me and fill me, to shape me and to be expressed through me. When He works through me, He also works in me. As goodness works out through me it must also fill me.

People are not my responsibility but they are my purpose. If I express anything through my frustrations, I build walls and tear down. If I express anything through God’s love, I receive love as I give it.

God’s love is boundless. This frees me from being bound. I move in the Spirit but I am present in my soul.

Psalm 23:2-3 (NIV)

…He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul…

As I look towards a new week, I know that the God of time has already gone ahead of me and is ushering in His purposes. I will place my hand in His and trust Him to work everything out.

Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

I pray that we will be filled with God’s Spirit and receive His love, be assured of His presence, and be enabled to fulfil His purposes this week in the way He has written for our lives.
