Bring God’s Kingdom

To Earth

First of all, what is God’s Kingdom?

God’s Kingdom is ruled by God, where He lives in heaven, and His righteousness, peace and joy reigns.

Romans 14:17 (BSB)

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Since Jesus Christ came to earth Jesus Christ brought God’s Kingdom to earth.

Luke 17:20-21 (AMP)

Now having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed or with a visible display; nor will people say, ‘Look! Here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ For the kingdom of God is among you [because of My presence].”

For His Kingdom to be among us now, it is through Jesus Christ. For that to happen, it must be brought to earth through His people by the power of His Holy Spirit. People like me. People like you.

Acts 1:8 (NLV)

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes into your life. You will tell about Me in the city of Jerusalem and over all the countries of Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.”

I need to be thinking how I bring the light of Christ wherever I go, into every room. I need to be thinking how I bring the righteousness, peace and joy of God's kingdom into every conversation. I bring the kingdom of God to earth through my words and my conduct.

John 8:12 (NLT)

Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

Isaiah 60:18

(NCV) There will be no more violence in your country; it will not be ruined or destroyed. You will name your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.

(NLT) Violence will disappear from your land; the desolation and destruction of war will end. Salvation will surround you like city walls, and praise will be on the lips of all who enter there.

Practically speaking my boundaries are no longer kept by fighting or striving or competition but righteousness and peace should rule my heart and my mind. This will come out through the gate of my mouth by praising and joy, not by criticising or negativity or defeat.

This is what the kingdom of God on earth looks like.

I pray that wherever we go we will bring God's kingdom with us in peace, love, joy and the boundaries of His righteousness. I pray we will not let anything else rule over us, but we will be the carriers of Christ's life, changing every atmosphere, in Jesus Name.
