Light means no darkness. No darkness means Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ means life. Life means eternity. Life in eternity means everlasting peace.
John 8:12 (NLT)
Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
How can you believe in someone or something you don’t see?
My spirit bears witness, which means I have a conviction that is unshakable, undeniable, and filled with a hopeful promise. It goes beyond a belief or a desire to want to believe or not believe. It’s an inner knowing and peaceful acceptance of what is beyond myself to fully comprehend.
Romans 8:16 (ESV)
The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God
We don’t become God, we become children of God. Adopted into His family by His grace, because of His goodness, so that we have no reason to boast but that we are reborn in love.
1 Peter 1:8 (NLT)
You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy.
It is plausible to believe, through faith, that the designer of creation created mankind in His image. We have a knowing within our spirit of whose we are.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NLV)
He has put thoughts of the forever in man’s mind, yet man cannot understand the work God has done from the beginning to the end.
If there is any confusion or deception about our identity, or God’s identity, it doesn’t come from the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God testifies to Jesus Christ as the Son of God, the one and only source of spiritual light and clarity. Any spiritual light that does not proclaim Jesus Christ as the one and only Saviour is not from God. There is a simple, profound beauty in that knowledge that is lovely to rest in.
It seemed unlikely when I grew up that I would ever hear anyone claim to be Jesus or God. But that unlikelihood has become a reality. I have heard angry, deluded, confused men claim to be this beautiful, sacrificial life-giver who is the only source of divine light and restorer of life. Crazy men who are confused with their own identity and self-importance and have received a spirit of darkness, far inferior to the most powerful Spirit of Light who already reigns and is not giving up His throne, ever.
Matthew 24:5 (BLB)
For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and they will mislead many.
If a man claims to be God, yet doesn’t understand the beginning to the end, He is not God. He is deeply deluded and so is anyone who follows what he says.
1 John 1:5 (AMP)
This is the message [of God’s promised revelation] which we have heard from Him and now announce to you, that God is Light [He is holy, His message is truthful, He is perfect in righteousness], and in Him there is no darkness at all [no sin, no wickedness, no imperfection].
There aren’t any other manifestations or reincarnations of Jesus Christ. There is no other perfect person in history. No one is good but God alone (Mark 10:18). There is only one who died the most terrible death for the sins of all mankind, once for all, was buried in a tomb, went to the spiritual place called hell where He retrieved authority (Merriam-Webster dictionary: to get and bring back. especially: to recover from storage) over sin and death from the one who carries rulership over those who refuse to believe in the Messiah, the Saviour. He was resurrected from the dead and restored relationship with Father God for those who choose to believe. He now sits on His throne of glory and brilliant light as coming Judge over all – all those who believe and confess in their lifetime and all those who don’t. All will believe once they’ve seen Him with their eyes, but all won’t be received then if they choose not to believe now while they cannot see with their eyes.
Jesus Christ came to save every person from that fate because of His love for the whole human race.
Acts 16:31 (NIV)
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”
He created. He saves.
The bible is a book full of prophecy. Much of that prophecy has already taken place in history, which is the reason so many people believe. Much of it is still to take place in the future.
The Revelation is the last book in the bible revealing things to come in the future, a lot of which we see happening in our world now. It’s not the only book with these prophesies, but it is the final revelation of Jesus Christ and the world’s future.
Have you asked yourself why it mattered to God so much that the world know who He is and what’s going to happen in the future? Have you asked yourself, why there is so much hatred and animosity and disbelief and contempt towards Jesus Christ and why people have tried to eradicate the bible throughout history without success? It's unnatural if a person is just a crazy person claiming to be the Saviour of the world and the bible is just another book with crazy stories.
Why is it so important that we know Jesus Christ and believe the bible is His Word for you and me so that we might be saved?
Revelation 1:13-18 (NLT)
And standing in the middle of the lampstands was someone like the Son of Man. He was wearing a long robe with a gold sash across his chest. His head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow. And his eyes were like flames of fire. His feet were like polished bronze refined in a furnace, and his voice thundered like mighty ocean waves. He held seven stars in his right hand, and a sharp two-edged sword came from his mouth. And his face was like the sun in all its brilliance.
When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.
Revelation 1:1-3 (NLT)
This is a revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants the events that must soon take place. He sent an angel to present this revelation to his servant John, who faithfully reported everything he saw. This is his report of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
God blesses the one who reads the words of this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to its message and obey what it says, for the time is near.
