Speak To Your Soul

When your heart feels empty as a well, speak to your soul.

When abandonment or rejection occurs in a soul, it cannot receive human love in that space again. It creates a deficit that hollows out more deficit like earth giving way in a hole. It creates a well. Deeper and deeper, until something stronger can bank it.

When you wake up feeling sore, when your life has caved in around you, wait, and let the Holy Spirit come in to your weeping.

Remember that the Holy Spirit, whose very breath is in you, fills you and all your empty wells.

He will pour and keep pouring, just as He did the widow, who He saved from having to sell her children because of debt. He saved her. He saved her children. He saves you and me, too. He alone, can fill your abandoned wells. He will pour oil into your wells and bring a new fragrance of hope and strength for a new day. There will be more than enough oil for you. Your wells will be filled.

Speak to your soul. Remember all the good things the LORD has done for you. Remember the LORD, Himself, is good. Others may betray you and abandon you. Others may treat you callously, without grace, without thought, without regard. But the LORD, Himself, is your Healer. Your strong tower. He will carry you all these days and never let you go. He is with you. He remains. He will hold you, and strengthen you.

Listen and pay attention to what the LORD wants to say to you. How He wants to fill you. Receive His filling in quiet thankfulness. Let your heart heal inside His wholeness, and you will become whole again. He has more for you, yet. Deeper wells to draw from, filled with His oil.

If you ask Him to fill you, He will fill you. If you ask Him to speak to you, He will speak to you. There will be more than enough oil for you.
