Unshakable

God, You give me wisdom and insight to ride the waves and storms of life;

to make choices

according to your truth.

You guide me.

Your Word directs my decisions.

I trust you to safeguard my family.

Protect our ways, our minds, our hearts,

our bodies

Lead us not into trouble,

but as I seek you and your commands,

lead us into your light and peace,

on straight and stable pathways.

Thank you for showing me

that what is unstable

must be shaken

so that all that remains

is unshakable and secure.

So let it be!

Thank you for your understanding;

I will not fear the shaking!

I trust in your wholeness and goodness.

I trust in the blessings that come from the shaking.

I trust in the blessings that come from following your commands.

Though doubts may come,

they come to teach me as I seek you.

Though doubts may come,

they test my beliefs that are false or inaccurate.

You drive me towards what is steadfast and true.

Doubts come to lead me

through my testing grounds that must be shaken

so that my belief in you

is stable; my understanding of your goodness

is clear

You, once again, show yourself to be faithful...

A safeguard

A strong tower

A loving Father

An all-consuming fire

A jealous God who covers me with His feathers.

O, I love you LORD

LORD of the heavens and the earth

Maker, Creator, Designer, Lover of all

Your Name covers us;

washes away our instability through the storms

and causes us to remain, standing stronger in you.

Hebrews 12:26-28 (NIV)

“Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken – that is, created things – so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.

Proverbs 4:26-27 (ESV)

Ponder the path for your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.

Deuteronomy 4:24 (NIV)

For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

John 17:15 (NLT)

I’m not asking you to take them out of this world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.

Proverbs 18:10 (CEV)

The LORD is a mighty tower where His people can run for safety.

Zechariah 10:12 (NLT)

By my power I will make my people strong, and by my authority they will go wherever they wish. I, the Lord, have spoken!”
