The wrong decisions we make without Jesus affect our future walk with Him, going through a time of discipline and teaching until we have been restored. It takes a desire for a lot of private alone time with Jesus. And then comes the blessing.

We naturally look after our own. Most people have an internal drive to look after and help the people they birth. God insists it should be that way. We should never stop fighting for our own. For their God-given place in this world.

The bible doesn’t say we should necessarily agree about everything. Rather, we should be fully convinced in our own mind, giving thanks to God and honouring God in what we do

There was a rich man who came to Jesus, asking what he had to do to enter God’s Kingdom – thinking he was good enough. He was a 'good person'. He hadn’t done anything really wrong. He had tried to live well. What more was there?

And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? 

Everywhere Jesus went people ran to Him. They ran because there was nobody like Jesus. Nobody who had the power or the compassion to heal so many in so many ways. But they had to draw close to Him.

When Jesus walks right past, as if he hasn’t seen us, hasn’t heard us, doesn’t care, He’s up to something. He’s not ignoring us, as we immediately think.

Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!

Jesus Christ. Prophet. Priest. King. Teacher. Redeemer. Mentor. Brother. Friend. Saviour. God. They were offended at Him because He wasn’t like them and they demanded He be less than who He was.

God’s Presence works things out in our lives in a way we cannot dictate. Therefore, we can rest without guilt, knowing His expression of goodness towards us indicates His care for us. This rest is a transition through intercession to carry new wineskins.

When something significant happens in life, we want to tell our story to people. Not because we have to, but because we can’t help ourselves. It brings healing and fortifies our position as we open up about the transformation that takes place in our lives.

In repentance and rest is to see the beauty and need of a God who has always been faithful and more-than, even when I thought He wasn’t who He is.

God created fireflies. Little lights to shine and dance in the darkness. Even though darkness encroaches, it cannot overcome light when light shines.

My heart knows its Maker.

The body has a memory and carries emotional trauma just as much as the mind and the heart, unless it’s dealt with. The body, soul, and spirit work together as one. If one needs healing, they will all eventually need healing.

I am struck by the many women who served Jesus together in community through His years of ministry and remained with Him in the most heinous, dreadful ordeal of His life, and theirs.

We are perfected in exposures of weakness. This is about being cured from performance and healed toward wholeness. It is an ongoing journey of authenticity and understanding of what God’s strength in us really means.

We were born with the desire for wealth. Wealth of time, productivity, profitability, and legacy. We were born with the desire to work, grow and increase. What happens to our soul when that desire to work, to be fruitful and increase, disappears?
