When we look intently at the gift that Jesus has given us, it brings us everything we need to live this life as He has created and orchestrated. Our destiny is fulfilled in Him. That is the perfect gift.

There is a science to anchoring that can help save your life out on a boat. That’s the beauty and design of an anchor. To keep you safe. To keep you secure. To keep you from drifting.

We are being trained into the character of righteousness because of our sin.

Knowing what the bible says about righteousness helps us to break it down in a specific and helpful way so that we know why we live the life we choose.

We live with a cleansed conscience, a priceless gift, in worship. Not at a temple, but inwardly having a repentant heart, receiving His forgiveness daily, and waiting for the fulfilment that is coming soon.

Reflecting on other people’s journey through life can bring insights for the way we choose to live ours. Life itself is fragile and temporary. But because of what we believe inwardly, we do not fade away.

Everyone is responsible for their thoughts and their heart. Everyone is responsible for what they do and don’t do. And everyone is accountable for their actions to God. The God we serve is a just God. He is not a God of hatred and violence. He is a God of mercy and love.

In a marathon, which we can compare to life’s race, runners need to endure. It’s common for runners to collapse immediately after the finish line because they need rest. They gave everything they had.

Don't allow a lesser quality build because of your choice of lesser quality materials or adjustments you'd like to make.

“Refreshment” is such a wonderful word. Refreshment can feel light and frothy, but it can also be deep and healing.

To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. Titus 1:15 (NIV)

When we understand we are equipped with His Spirit, His wisdom, His understanding, His counsel, His power, His knowledge and the fear of the Lord, we don’t have fear of people.

To some, the most important thing is family. To some, it’s their work. To some, it’s their position. To some, it’s their next meal. To some, it’s their leisure pursuits. To some, it’s financial gain. To some, it’s power and control. We need to know so that we frame our lives around it and measure our time and pursuits by it.

Once we know something, acting out of that knowledge is appropriate and expected. This is being trustworthy. The parable of the slaves who knew their masters will and those who did not know is a sobering guide for believers that the knowledge we are entrusted with, we are accountable for.

Thankfully, when God says live that you may glorify your Father in heaven, He is not expecting perfection, but He is seeking those who will seek Him and in doing that display His glory.

Looking at seven attributes of God’s love and the perseverance of Christ, causes you to wonder, and decide whether that isn’t everything you need forever.

When life is cheapened because insecurity rises so high it must silence what it fears, we are at war. When we choose hate over love, antagonism over peace, vitriol over freedom, we are at war.

Holding on and living beyond the waiting that we used to have patience for, is hope. Holding on when we feel our loss so deeply, is trust. Holding on when we don’t see what we hope for but we still carry a seed in our heart, is faith.

We need to choose to be concerned for one another. If we have a conversation with another and something comes to our attention for a need they have, that is our cue to help them, to show love and to do good; to invest in their cause.

What does being a child of the light and day mean? It means to stand in faith and identify with whatever celebrates life in God.
