You are the keeper of my castle, Lord.
Do I pray in truth, Lord, out of your heart
or only out of my own?
When I hear from you, is it from your heart,
or only from my own?
I need your reassurance
because I know my mind is fickle
and my heart is needy
What is your truth in our circumstance, Lord?
Help me to discern your thoughts
rather than my own
When I pray, help me to perceive you
Help me to pray out of your heart
Help me to see expansively
rather than my own limited,
needful capacity
Place the belt of truth around my waist
And speak to me your words
that I would perceive you, alone.
