I am struck by the many women who served Jesus together in community through His years of ministry and remained with Him in the most heinous, dreadful ordeal of His life, and theirs.

We are perfected in exposures of weakness. This is about being cured from performance and healed toward wholeness. It is an ongoing journey of authenticity and understanding of what God’s strength in us really means.

We were born with the desire for wealth. Wealth of time, productivity, profitability, and legacy. We were born with the desire to work, grow and increase. What happens to our soul when that desire to work, to be fruitful and increase, disappears?

Who we think we are is not nearly so important as who God says we are and what He calls us to do. When we start bringing our impressions in to the mix, our pride and our ambitions, we dilute or negate the agenda of the Holy Spirit

And the fig tree withered at once. When the disciples saw it they were amazed, saying, “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” 

The Lord will always lead you. He will meet the needs of your soul in the dry times and give strength to your body. You will be like a garden that has enough water, like a well of water that never dries up.

The belief in prayer is sacred to many religions. Prayer is not only talking to Deity, it is being heard. If a god cannot be heard, prayer is ineffective.

Inconvenient people are often silenced because they’re awkward for others.

What do we think about when we think of a slave? How does our slave mentality in God’s Kingdom need to be challenged, in light of how God treats those He calls His own?

Even when others grumble, He reaches out. Even when others turn their backs, He touches. Even when others misunderstand, He sees. He comes, seeking and saving.

I remember the days when parents would threaten to wash their children’s mouth out with soap when descent or disrespect interrupted harmonious relationships.

People who knew Jesus was nearby rushed to see him. Jesus let them touch him. Crowds of people, all around him. Jostling. Calling. Reaching. He was strong enough, still enough, compassionate enough, to let them. And all who touched Him were healed.

How often do we face a day and think, I need more capacity? I don’t have enough in my tank to meet the demands of today.

Life isn’t always pleasant when our best efforts in the garden gets sabotaged by thorns and prickles and messy weeds. Sometimes we can become bogged down, overlooked, belittled, or weakened

For those desiring what is precious and sacred, the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven will be shown, and more understanding will be given, creating a bank of wealth.

The Lord is my light and my salvation. I fear no one.  The Lord protects my life. I am afraid of no one.

It’s not that people are unable to hear or see things that God wants to show us. It’s that we are unwilling to see or hear. We let our stubborn minds and calloused hearts lead instead of receiving what God is wanting to show us.

“Do you believe that I can do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they answered. He touched their eyes and said, “What you have believed will be done for you!” Then they could see.
