The steps we take are as significant as the timing. When we seek God, we can trust that even though we don’t yet see the outcome, God is directing our inspiration, each step, and the timing, to complete what He has fashioned us to achieve.

I need to be thinking how I bring the light of Christ wherever I go, into every room. I need to be thinking how I bring the righteousness, peace and joy of God's kingdom into every conversation. I bring the kingdom of God to earth through my words and my conduct.

God’s favour doesn’t go off like a bad apple. It remains. When we seek Him and we trust Him for our choices and actions, we can rest in His goodness for us.

Why is the putting to death of my own desires so pleasing to God? Because without holiness I won’t see Him. He is pleased when sin has no domination over me. When I submit myself to His Spirit I am deciding to kick away from myself whatever it is that separates me from Him.

Learning why Jesus Christ makes all the difference makes all the difference. Our relationship with Him is where the best of our life from.

Building analogies are poignant because we can see life through their construction. Whatever construction type that speaks to you can speak to the way you’re building your own life.

There are many occasions in life where turning point choices are made. We don’t always realise they’re turning point choices until later. So how can we be sure we will make the right choices?

Cultivated gardens require knowledgeable pruning. Sometimes, a severe pruning can cause a plant to look dead for a while, like it has not survived the pruning. But it’s not dead.

Plowing encourages our lives to become like good soil that generates beautiful gardens. Though hard work, plowing can be seen as a time for peaceful, profitable work towards great anticipation.

Wrong choices strip beauty from your life. Those mistakes steal years from your life, even decades. It isn’t worth it. What is rich and beautiful, is fortified.

We are like God’s gardens of diversity. Question: What kind of garden does my life produce?

Jesus, their Saviour, their Lord, had always made Himself accessible to them. They had seen Him make Himself accessible to others who needed Him as they did. And here at the tomb, an angel had been sent to communicate with them. Come and see, he said.

Praises are a confession of hope and life. Hope and life banish the destructive temperaments that crowd in on our soul and try to drown out our praise. It’s a battle.

If you are one who walks with sorrow, you know that you need another expression to offset its beleaguering results. If you are one who walks with sorrow and you don’t know how to get past it, if you’ve lost your joy, you need to know that you can overcome it.

Sorrow’s closest companion is bitterness. In the book of Ruth, Naomi told her old friends to call her ‘bitter’ because of the sorrows she had endured in life. Her bitter speech came at a time when sorrow was again overwhelming her. Sorrow carries seeds of bitterness and we have to battle against them from taking root.

Solid answers for living through any situation in life can be found in the Bible. Instead of fighting His place in life, it is better to find our place in Him. His Word brings illumination for life, direction, power, and comfort.

God has proven Himself faithful down through the centuries and His faithfulness never changes. Should we be so proud as to turn away from such a gift? God is love and altogether just. He reaches out to anyone who looks to Him and believes.

If I am my own conscience controller, I fall into the trap of thinking I’m either quite good really, or not good enough. Neither marks true repentance, forgiveness, or grace.

Human beings need constructs to build their lives on. Life constructs are like anchors that hold us steady. They are like maps that help direct us. So, it’s important to base our lives on truth that is unchanging.

No other power can dispossess God's power. He is the Most High. His shadow carries protection and defence. Knowing I can live in His shelter allows me to let my fear expire.
