We have different communities in our lives. In all, we ought to think the same, carrying the light of Christ and not neglecting coming together, encouraging others, thinking about needs around us and how we can be of benefit.

We frequently need to step back and remedy our perspective. I know our eternal future with God is unimaginably superior to this life, but God wants me to enjoy this life, no matter its disappointments. In a present state of mind, without wishing or regretting...

Psalm 37:25 (NLT) Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread.

I had a dream last night. It was a horrible dream. It reminds me of the infamous Eagles song and album of the same name, Hotel California, released in 1976. It depicted enslavement but the people there didn’t realise they were being enslaved. I woke up with the words, “Don’t listen to the things of man. Listen to The Spirit.”

Sometimes, we make a couple of bad choices and those choices can obliterate years of good choices that have been consistently made. In those times, we need to hold on to what we've been drilling down into, and know that we are never forsaken.

It isn’t necessarily what we do but the way we do it that makes something significant. It isn’t necessarily what we say but the way we say it that makes it significant. It isn’t necessarily how much we give, but when we give that makes it significant.

Having been through depression and a panic disorder when I was younger, I find the smallest things can be the biggest things when it comes to my approach. I’ve had to teach myself new responses and the reasons why I have these responses. It helps me to remember God’s plan.

What is wickedness? Western culture’s fashionable thought is that there is no right or wrong behaviour, only what feels right or wrong for you. This leads to a lack of safety in many different ways. This is what God calls wickedness. Basically, a desire for self above His goodness.

Exodus 28:15 (NLT) “Then, with great skill and care, make a chestpiece to be worn for seeking a decision from God. 

Is my cup filled with natural inclinations this morning, or with spiritual need? I lift my cup up to the Creator of heaven and earth who has given Himself to me and I ask Him to fill me so that all of me can be refilled, not just my natural self.

Mothers are not magical creatures who love perfectly. Mothers are firstly women, touched and shaped by their own back-stories and perhaps are deeply scarred and broken still.

Building community is one of the greatest, most practical things we can do in life. This is every person’s purpose. Building community means we need to establish trust and responsibility to each other.

How do I rally myself when what’s expected of me is more than what time, energy, or my own strength allows?

“Is this true?” the king asked her. And she told him the story. So he directed one of his officials to see that everything she had lost was restored to her, including the value of any crops that had been harvested during her absence.

Question: Am I engaging with people in constructive ways or am I stealing their joy or their willingness or their efforts by my criticism? Am I being open or am I being a wall? Do I leave a conversation on a good note?

God is forever faithful. He has laws for night and day, for earth and sky and the only one who can change those laws are Him. If you believe that, you can believe God is also always faithful to His people.

The way we live and pass on a legacy leaves our primary imprint. What is worth cultivating and what needs to be shed? What race are you running? Are you even running in the right race? This race doesn't finish here on earth. The finish tape is the entrance to the everlasting.

Feed Surely On God's Faithfulness and do good.

Keep digging those wells. Don’t let little things like slander or stone-walling prevent you from being who you are and doing what you know you should do. Don't allow arguments to get in the way or discouragement to have a voice. God is biggest.

Be still in order to consider the Lord’s insights. They are light in the darkness.
