See, the way forward will end in victory and delight when the Lord has His way. Exactly where the desert jackals once lived, lush vegetation will replace their arid spaces. This, in your life and my life, is a promise.

Tests are overcome by blooming and growing stronger in the trial. Battles are fought with unretreatable dedication and use of force. Wars are won with perseverance and knowledge. Being blooming unretreatable is to bloom even as you doggedly move forward; unintimidated, undeterred.

Jude 1:21 says “keep yourselves in God’s love”. To keep myself in God’s love means I don’t allow doubts to creep into my mind, or fears to mis-shape my heart. To keep myself in God's love means I will walk in comfort and thankfulness.

Freedom involves a certain power or privilege to act according to my own conscience. The bible instructs me to live according to my personal conscience; however, it cautions my personal conscience to be instructed by God’s wisdom, not my own.

When we experience significant troubles and loss in life, how do we endure and find a blessing instead of becoming hardened, calloused and distant?

Believing in the bible means I read it on different levels. I understand the contextual writings are placed in certain times and places, but I also understand the application is meant for me as an individual, and for my family or community, too.

Jesus said nothing can separate us from His love and we will have the light of life itself, which has already overcome darkness and death itself. To find the power in that, I need to understand ownership.

What is my go-to response when someone stands against me, routinely misunderstands me, creates obstacles in their relationship with me, refuses to be a safe place, or a quiet landing for an honest, caring, authentic relationship?

Ask yourself: Who am I a steward of? What am I a steward of? How am I stewarding well currently? What or who do I need to invest more in to steward in the way God is calling me to steward?

Restoration is the purpose we talk, whether we’re the ones with the issue or not. It’s not about making a point or shaming another because we feel angry or justified. Nor is it about being ‘gracious’ to another in a false sense of humility. Talking to restore takes intentionality.

Our attempts to elevate self, often sabotages another. Nurturing harmony in life is like a medicinal elixir that promotes health and produces strength and healing.

Perceive the moments that God has given you for the very thing you needed. Healing. Rest. Connection. Direction. Perspective. Perceive that they are indeed from Him, and ask Him if there’s more He wants to do.

Symbolism is an important way for humanity to draw out meaning-making and identity. The bible is rich in symbolism. We need to know and appropriate symbolism correctly.

Believers are described as trees in the bible, which has rich symbolism of strength, permanence, and provision from God. When disease is found to be eating away at our branches, we need to firstly produce one certain type of fruit.

Our first response to anger, unfairness, or fear is not usually to go have a lie down and be quiet, be still, and look at our own heart first. But that’s what the bible counsels us to do.

Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, your rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate His rule with trembling. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.

This helps me to feel connected to strength. It makes me anchored and assured again when I’m starting to rattle. It reminds me who God has created me to be in storms.

It’s very special to know that the Maker of all is taking notice of you and cares so much that He wants to guide you personally. Are you gathering a guidebook, a life manual together for yourself of the things He’s saying to you?

Combining shrewd and innocence seems, at first, to be a juxtaposition. Let’s look at various definitions for a little clarity and try and connect some dots.

God cares about what we wear, but His clothing is all about our reputation, our senses, our countenance and how we manage ourselves in the world.
